Transport Supervisor

The Role * To ensure Health & Safety, Environmental and Legal Compliance procedures are followed. * Operating a fleet of vehicles from 3 locations over 7 days and 7 nights per week. * Sourcing additional loads from third parties. * Managing the activities and resources to achieve financial, operational and customer service objectives. * To ensure equipment is operational and relevant checks are carried out and maintained, addressing any issues where necessary. * Planning of loads, allocation of drivers and quoting for work. Requirements * Customer focused. * Compliance and Tachograph knowledge. * Proven experience within a fast-paced logistics environment * Ability to communicate at all levels. * Proactive decision maker and an organised/effective planner. * Ability to effectively handle conflict situations * Be able to build a network of allies and subcontractors * Have a can-do attitude * Be able to be remain calm when working under pressure * PC and TMS systems literate * Own transport required owing to location. Other * Working hours Sunday – Wednesday from 7am – 7pm. Own transport essential (INDPERM)
