Trainee Maintenance Technician

Trainee Mechanical Maintenance Technician A great opportunity is now available for a Trainee Maintenance Technician to join an established but expanding manufacturing business, in South Oxfordshire. If you have recently completed an engineering apprenticeship or college course and have practical hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance,Servicing and repair, this position will provide you further development and training, to enable you to become a fully qualified Maintenance Engineer. Work will be varied and you will be part of a small but experienced maintenance team. Responsibilities (Once fully trained) Carry out routine and emergency repairs to mechanical equipment Agree with supervisors the timing of scheduled maintenance work and use the scheduled maintenance control system Routine maintenance on plant service equipment – Vessels & cooling towers etc. Report and repair faulty equipment Maintain stocks of engineering consumables Carry out and/or assist in routine testing and inspection of engineering equipment and systems Qualifications & Experience Mechanical engineering qualifications or the ability to demonstrate experience and competence in this area Some electrical engineering awareness is ideal Full UK driving licence Team player with good communications skills Physically fit due to the hands-on nature of the role Interested, please call Graeme at Vibe Recruit on (phone number removed) or apply immediately!
