Our client, a well-established educational institution, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Student Personal Development Manager to lead and manage their centrally devised personal development programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping student experiences and ensuring successful progression and post-education destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and implement a comprehensive personal development programme for students, adult learners, and apprentices.
  • Oversee student voice initiatives, enrichment activities, and events aligned with national and local priorities.
  • Lead the creation and development of tutorial resources to support personal development.
  • Develop and deliver training for tutors and staff on personal development topics.
  • Coordinate and enhance the college’s student enrichment offer to increase participation.
  • Support and oversee the work of the Student Union Executive and Student Eco-Council.
  • Manage pastoral support services and interventions for students requiring additional support.
  • Ensure the effective management of learning resource centres across multiple campuses.
  • Lead a team of professionals, ensuring performance management, staff development, and operational effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience in managing personal development programmes within an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of successfully leading teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience in student enrichment, student voice initiatives, and resource development.
  • Understanding of personal development, behaviour, and attitudes in post-16 education.
  • Ability to assess and respond effectively to student needs.
