The Role – Site Technician
- Supporting our Resident Site Engineers, carrying out automated materials handling equipment servicing, in accordance with quality standards.
- Electrical and mechanical breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, to include cranes; conveyors; vertical lifts; monorail system and a deep freeze high bay.
- Working in a cold environment (-18 degrees).
- Undertake repairs in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
- To comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
- To always ensure quality of output and adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.
- Working at heights.
- Working within a team of Engineers, you will represent the company in a professional manner and always strive for excellence and best practice in all tasks undertaken.
The Person – Site Technician
- You will be an Engineering Site Technician, with a good level of competence in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- An Apprentice trained Mechanical / Electrical or Controls Engineer, with a minimum Level 2 Qualification.
- You must have GCSEs Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science.
- Able or willing to work at heights.
- This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Able to adapt to new and changing demands and situations.
- Able to share knowledge with others proactively and always show integrity.
Ideal Experience
- Previous controls experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience of working with automation / in an automated warehouse.
- Competent and able to do Electrical / Mechanical servicing on a variety of machinery.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement.
- Health and Safety (ISO 45001) would also be desirable for this role.
