We are working closely with an innovative and growing market research consultancy whose mission is to inspire smarter, faster and better decision making. They help launch new products, improve profitability, establish new markets and reshape winning brands. Clients focus on those in the Education, Charity & Third Sector, Technology and Professional/Membership Bodies areas. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Senior Research Executive to join their busy team.
This job is offered on a remote or hybrid basis. The Senior Research Executive will be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring that all tasks run to brief, budget and time and are achieved to a high standard with minimal amendments. Most projects are mixed methods, utilising both quantitative and qualitative research stages.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Generally supporting senior colleagues in the execution of research projects, leading on tasks producing high quality outputs and building project management skills;
- Designing high quality questionnaires and discussion guides;
- Running focus groups (online and physical) and interviews with various audience types;
- Supervising survey scripting and rigorously testing surveys;
- Managing and producing excellent analysis of quantitative and qualitative research and deliver written and graphical reports that understand the client’s needs and provide thoughtful, actionable findings in response to project objectives;
- Managing client liaison and assisting in the development of strong client relationships;
- Playing a part in Team Meetings, offering opinions and practical suggestions around areas of discussion.
In order to be considered for this Senior Research Executive role you will need:
- Around 3 years, solid grounding ideally in both quantitative and qualitative research methods gained within an agency or client side environment;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Good task management skills with an ability to work on a variety of tasks concurrently;
- High level of numeracy;
- High level of critical thinking – able to move beyond the ability to summarise the main findings of a project and to spot the ‘narrative’ that runs through a project, and distil that into high quality executive summaries;
- Confident client facing skills;
- Self-motivated – challenging oneself; proactively taking steps to improve own performance and widen understanding.
