We are currently recruiting for a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer to join a supportive and student-focused college team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about student welfare and safeguarding who is looking to make a real impact within further education.
Location: Northamptonshire
Contract: Term-time only, full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: approx £23,500 pro rata
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for students experiencing low-level wellbeing concerns, providing support and signposting to internal or external services.
- Deliver high-quality administrative support to the Student Support and Safeguarding Team.
- Liaise with feeder schools to obtain and transfer safeguarding files, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the college’s safeguarding system.
- Monitor KCSIE compliance and manage enrolment of new staff to safeguarding systems.
- Support the use and maintenance of “My Concern”, ensuring safeguarding records and data are correctly collated, tracked, and managed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous experience working in a safeguarding, wellbeing, or student support setting.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Comfortable communicating with students, staff, and external agencies.
- A good understanding of safeguarding procedures and data handling in an education environment.
