About the School:

  • 2 form entry school
  • 2 adjacent Reception classrooms with outdoor learning space
  • Set in lovely grounds with a large field
  • Supportive Senior management

The Role:

  • Reception teacher - Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri (4 days a week)
  • To start after Feb half term (24th Feb 2025) until the end of the academic year (22nd July 2025)
  • Parallel Reception teacher to work closely with to plan and support each other
  • The class has some high-end SEN needs but they are well supported by TAs
  • The school uses Bug Club Phonics scheme and uses Oxford Reading Tree books including Word Spark and Project X
  • The school uses White Rose scheme of work for Maths

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all school policies
  • Plan engaging lessons appropriate for Reception aged pupils
  • Deliver high quality lessons in line with schools plan and themes of work

Ideal candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have up to date knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A motivated and enthusiastic teacher with a willingness to get involved in all school life (There is a meeting every Wed after school which you would need to attend)
