Our client is a very successful and well-established regional contractor based in the Southampton area. Due to organic growth, they are searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Groundworks and Civil Engineering. The company offers a competitive basic salary with pension, private health, company car/allowance, and a generous bonus scheme.
Typical projects include groundwork, foundations, and new build residential projects across Hampshire, Sussex, Wiltshire, and Dorset. The ideal candidate will come from either a groundworks or a housebuilder/developer background with a good understanding of groundworks/civils.
Role:
- Groundworks experience.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is desirable.
- Tender pricing and take off.
- Commercial management of projects.
- Monthly valuation preparation.
- Cost control of projects.
- Procurement & placement of bespoke material costs.
- Relationship building with subcontractors, design team, and suppliers.
- Extensive knowledge of groundworks, ideally with residential experience.
