Overview:
Our client, a specialist contractor within the passive fire protection industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of projects across the UK. The role is primarily site-based, with occasional visits to head office as required. Projects will span residential and local authority properties, including social housing schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver passive fire protection projects across various sites nationwide
- Oversee fire-stopping and fire door installations within residential and social housing properties
- Supervise on-site activities to ensure full compliance with fire safety regulations and certification standards
- Coordinate and manage teams of operatives and subcontractors
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and project documentation
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Conduct inspections to ensure all works meet FIRAS or BM TRADA standards
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management and attend project meetings as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within passive fire protection
- Experience working in lofts or similar confined spaces
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential)
- FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation (essential)
- Strong knowledge of fire-stopping systems and relevant UK building regulations
