A long established building and maintenance contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a diverse range of works within the public sector. This organisation delivers works to local authorities, housing associations, and educational institutions, with projects ranging from responsive repairs and maintenance through to full-scale building renovations. KeyResponsibilities Lead and manage several construction projects from inception through to completion Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans Produce detailed labour lists in collaboration with internal teams Coordinate RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) with health & safety consultants Oversee all on-site activities, including subcontractor supervision and quality checks Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and internal departments Attend site meetings, provide progress updates, and produce project reports Promote best practices in health and safety across all project phases Troubleshoot and resolve any site issues or delays What You'll Need Proven experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations Full, clean UK driver's licence Willingness to undergo a DBS check if required Key Skills & Attributes Excellent organisational and time-management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgement Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills Able to lead and motivate teams on-site Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
