Production Operative in Sherburn in Elmet, Monday to Thursday, 1pm-11.30pm, £25,979 + Overtime.
Our internationally renowned and family-owned manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative with a FLT License to join their team on a permanent basis. As the Production Operative, you will be working in a dedicated team in the Laser department, assisting and working with the Laser machinists. Ideally, the Production Operative will be flexible for overtime on weekends.
Responsibilities of the Production Operative:
- Picking Material/packing/labelling
- Loading and unloading of machines
- Quality & Quantity checks
- Adhering to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products
- Keeping work areas and the factory floor clean and free from hazardous material
- Operate mechanical handling equipment, forklift, tools and machinery as trained and authorised and in accordance with safe working practices and operating procedures
- Flexibility to work overtime or alter normal working hours to suit the needs of the business
Ideally, as the Production Operative you will have the following experience:
- FLT License, counterbalance (in date)
- Ability to manage relationships
- Confident communication skills
- Manual Handling
- Communication skills with the ability to manage several different projects/tasks at any one time
- Highly motivated, with a pro-active approach to workload
- Confident and determined approach
- Methodical and accurate with a good attention to detail
- Happy to at times work to strict deadlines and able to plan work according to timescales
