Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager – Engineering £60,000 – £80,000 + full benefits package Hatfield (Hybrid role 2 days a week in the office required) I am currently looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to join my client based in Hertfordshire I am looking to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager to join my client’s rapidly growing Engineering Supply Chain team. You will procure and deliver electro-mechanical machinery and equipment in UK and overseas, against short lead times, whilst building relationships with suppliers to ensure long term cost reduction and delivery. Responsibilities; * Global category strategy management. * Supplier sourcing both in the UK and internationally. * Tendering and awarding global contracts. * Performance/relationship management of suppliers. * Create an approach to source contractors globally for projects. * Category strategy creation implementation and review. * Management and development of existing key suppliers. * Stakeholder management. * Risk identification and mitigation, anticipating project challenges. * Take ownership of supply/contractor issues, resolving them in line with business needs. Ideal Skills/Experience; * A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Procurement in a construction/manufacturing/engineering environment * Experience working in or with global teams * Supplier negotiation and development skills * Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced environment * High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Google Docs and ERP software * Qualification at higher national or degree level / CIPS or equivalent qualification Application Process; If you have the above skills and wish to be considered for this position or find out more details then please submit your CV.
