A role has arisen with an ambitious technology organisation for a Management Accountant to assist with the preparation of its monthly and annual statutory reporting in a timely and accurate fashion, operating within robust processes and procedures.
The position in detail includes:
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reports with variance analysis and accompanying commentary.
- Developing a clear understanding of revenue reporting and month-end profitability analysis.
- Monthly ownership of various P&L cost lines (rebates, marketing, deferred revenue, prepayments, fixed assets) for understanding and posting into the general ledger.
- Performing monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations to review any risks and opportunities for the business.
- Supporting the 13-week rolling cash forecast ensuring accuracy from AR and AP.
- Posting monthly accruals and prepayments into the general ledger.
- Assisting with the management of data coming into the finance team for stock, VAT, and GRNI.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register including monthly processes and reconciliation.
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory audit work papers.
- Supporting Non-finance Managers with budgeting and forecasting as required.
- Assisting with the development of the company’s compliance with regulations and good financial practice.
The role would suit a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or similar with hands-on experience in a finance accounting role, keen to develop their career in a highly growth-driven, commercial environment. Systems awareness with the ability to handle large volumes of data on Excel using Pivots, Look Ups etc. is essential. You must be team-oriented with a positive, confident, 'glass is half full' personality. You will be conscientious, methodical, and flexible to achieve working to deadlines.
