Are you an experienced Poultry Production Manager looking for a new challenge in a busy factory environment?

The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects of the Poultry Production Department, as detailed below:

  • To organize and plan the production for the poultry department on days.
  • To ensure that all orders are produced to the correct specification.
  • To complete stock rotation and action short dates.
  • To ensure that all finished product and work in progress is correctly labelled for traceability with both GRNs and batch codes.
  • To complete production records.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Policies and quality standards.
  • Adhere to allergen controls.
  • To ensure that the poultry area, tumbling room and seasoning areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • To train staff within the poultry department.
  • To administrate holiday shift patterns, together with the Factory Manager ensuring that all necessary cover is in place.
  • To liaise with HR regarding timekeeping, absences, complying with the Company Absence Procedure & Policy, Discipline and Grievance.

Additional Information:

Working hours are Monday to Friday 07.00-16.00. This role will require some flexibility in the working hours to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements:

No formal qualifications are required for this role, and full training will be provided; however, it would be advantageous if you have supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced operations, production environment and significant experience supervising or managing staff. It would also be advantageous if you have experience working with poultry and/or meat knowledge.
