Part-Time Music Teacher (3 Days a Week) – Secondary School in Ealing/Northolt Location: Ealing/Northolt, London Salary: £200 – £215 per day Job Type: Part-Time (3 Days a Week) Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Contract: Ongoing, with potential for extension About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Music Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the Ealing/Northolt area. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students across various year groups, fostering a love for music and creativity. As a key member of the Performing Arts department, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that cater to students of different abilities. You should be comfortable teaching a broad music curriculum, incorporating both practical and theoretical elements. Key Responsibilities * Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5). * Engage students with a range of musical genres, instruments, and digital music technology. * Prepare students for assessments, performances, and extracurricular activities. * Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support progress. * Contribute to the wider school community, including school concerts, clubs, and events. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies. Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. * Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting. * Strong knowledge of the UK music curriculum. * Ability to teach a variety of musical instruments and integrate music technology into lessons. * Excellent classroom management skills. * A positive and proactive attitude, with a passion for student success.
