Our client is a multinational company with a UK division and factories across Europe. We have an exciting opportunity for a National Account Executive. This position requires the ability to build strong customer relationships and to execute sales strategies that drive growth within a portfolio of customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • B2B Account Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with B2B and wholesale accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and sales growth.
  • Identify and prospect new customers, building a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Develop customised sales proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs and company business objectives.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and work closely with supply chain to ensure high service levels for customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Use Kantar data to monitor the market and create reports on market developments for the sales team.
  • Work with Account Managers to create customer specific market insight presentations (training will be given) to use during business and category review meetings.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, technical) to ensure client needs are supported and understood.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and conferences to strengthen relationships with customers.
  • Be able to cover office management tasks such as post / courier / site visits when the Commercial Assistant is away.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or of graduate calibre.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working to targets.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed to meet with clients and attend events.
  • PC literate with good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Live within 20 miles or easy commutable distance of Dunstable.
