Modification Technician

Job Title: Electrical Modification Technician Job Location: Croydon Shifts: Mon – Friday 10 hour days Hourly Rate: £27.19 Umbrella Hours Per Week: 50 hours per week Duration: 6 Months Start Date: ASAP Company Summary One of the UKs leading names in safety, efficiency, reliability, innovation, and productivity in the Rolling Stock market. Providing both components, modification and turnkey solutions to the industry. Position Summary: The role is carrying out Electrical modifications including stripping and refitting. You will be specifically focused on modifications, interior and exterior strip and replace on modern tram units within a maintenance depot. This position is the key focal point for the safe and reliable running of the fleet on a busy commuter network. This is a safety Critical position working on a live maintenance depot and in this role, you would be expected to complete the following: * Work from Engineering drawings and written instruction, working to specific measurements * Replace components and wiring to correspond to engineering drawings Person Profile: You will be a highly self-motivated individual as training to develop will be given to these individuals. Attitude and enthusiasm are key for this role you should be able to follow detailed instructions as an eye for details is key to this role. Candidates from the following background will be considered: * Rolling Stock * HGV and PCV Technicians * Plant Maintenance * RAF, REME, Army, Navy Ideal applicants will have Electrical modification or fitting experience on vehicle types ranging from trains to cars to aeroplanes.
