A medium-sized MEP Contractor thriving under new leadership has entered into several new sectors amidst its ambitious growth plans. Due to a lucrative project award, they require a Mechanical and MEP Project Director to lead a major Life Sciences project worth north of £30m M&E from pre-construction to handover.
This is a business that isn’t bound by governance and red tape like some large contractors, but is competing against companies of this kind and working on major schemes like them. It is a family business at its core and still treats its staff like one.
Pipeline of work is extremely strong and some of the schemes they are delivering and tendering for are very interesting and complex, mainly within the Pharmaceutical / Life Science, Commercial, Health Care & Education sectors.

Some of your duties will include:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale MEP projects across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors.
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Oversee design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop project budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control strategies.
- Drive risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and sustainability requirements.
