Are you a passionate science teacher looking for flexible and rewarding work? We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Maths tutors to join our team in Brent and the surrounding areas!

Role Requirements:

  • Pay: £30 - £35 per hour
  • DBS on Update: Must have an up-to-date DBS check.
  • Subjects: Maths
  • Location: Brent and surrounding areas.

This tutor role involves:

  • Planning lessons and resources around the student's needs.
  • Delivering engaging sessions.
  • Applying skills to raise pupils' confidence.
  • Managing children with challenging behaviour.
  • Tracking the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and providing monthly reports.
  • Engaging in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student.

Responsibilities:

  • Instruction: Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the student's individual learning needs. Teach a range of topics, including basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics (depending on student level).
  • Assessment: Regularly assess students' understanding of topics through quizzes, tests, and assignments. Provide feedback on students' strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Customisation: Adjust lesson plans and teaching strategies to match the student's pace and learning style. Create additional practice problems or resources as needed to reinforce concepts.
  • Student Support: Help students build confidence in solving mathematical problems and understanding theoretical concepts. Offer assistance with homework, exam preparation, and school projects.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, or supervisors regarding student progress. Provide progress reports and suggest strategies for improvement.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new teaching methods, math curriculum changes, and math-related technology tools. Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills.
