The Company
Are you an experienced Marketing professional looking to enhance your career with a leading premium supplier and manufacturer of building products who are looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to drive the continued growth of their brand in the UK market. Our Client specialises in the manufacturing and supply of a comprehensive range of building products for both professional and DIY use. With over 15 years of industry experience, the company has built a strong reputation as the trusted, go-to supplier for high-quality products. Their range is widely stocked by Builders Merchants, Trade Outlets, and leading DIY retailers nationwide, making them a staple in the hands of professionals and home improvers alike.
The Role
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director the Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a cohesive Company-wide marketing strategy focusing on the full marketing mix. Key responsibilities include:
- Marketing Strategy
- Working alongside the wider Marketing team, lead the development and implementation of approved Marketing Strategy
- Inject creativity into the Marketing Strategies, particularly in the printed format, to ensure the Company is seen to be an industry leader, ensuring the Company’s ethos and objectives are not compromised
- Brand Identity
- Assist in the development and enhancement of the Company’s Brand Identity and Brand Guidelines (a full spectrum style guide covering all elements of the Company’s Brand Identity), ensuring they reflect the Company’s values.
- Product Management
- Make recommendations and assist in the design and content of Company’s Product packaging and labelling
- In collaboration with the wider Marketing Team, ensure all print content for Product labels and packaging is accurately created, signed off by appropriate stakeholders and delivered in a timely manner
- Assist in the continuous review of the sales performance of current Products and make recommendations for changes to Product labels and packaging
- Campaigns and Advertising
- Assist in delivering a continuous and relevant calendar of print sales and promotional campaigns
- Collaboratively review print advertising and editorial opportunities and recommend appropriate uptake
- Manage and execute, within agreed guidelines and budgets, the design, content and production of all print advertising, editorial and promotional (including P.O.S.) material, ensuring all print materials meet the brief, are accurately produced, and are delivered in a timely manner
- Strategic Development
- Monitor and document competitor activities, using visual and written recording methods
- Monitor and report on changing and emerging competition
- Identify the best trading partners and actively develop effective business relationships
- Monitor and report on current market trends
- Identify and exploit market gaps
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- B2B Marketing experience is essential
- Experience in both strategic and creative marketing planning
- Have the confidence to take decisions and the ability to problem-solve
- Analytical but with the ability to see the bigger opportunity
- Experience of analysing markets and the launching of new products
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of the UK Building Merchants sector
