Manufacturing Operative Location: Huntington, York (YO32) Pay Rate: £15.26 – £16.92 per hour (potential to rise to £20.65 depending on skills) Job Type: Temporary ongoing (work expected until Christmas 2025 and beyond) About the Role: We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Operatives for a long-term opportunity with a leading manufacturer of modular buildings in York. Key Responsibilities: * Carrying out general manufacturing and assembly tasks * Using hand and power tools to produce high-quality components * Following build plans, work instructions, and quality standards * Working safely at all times and maintaining a clean work area * Collaborating with team members to meet production targets Shift Patterns: Rotating weekly shifts: * Week 1: Monday to Thursday 5:45am – 2:00pm; Friday 5:45am – 12:45pm * Week 2: Monday to Thursday 1:45pm – 11:45pm (no shift on Friday!) Pay & Benefits: * Starting pay at £15.26 per hour, increasing to £16.92 after 12 weeks * Further increases possible (up to £20.65/hr) based on performance and role * Overtime available at time-and-a-half and double time * 28 days holiday increasing to 32 days after 12 weeks * Access to free parking and excellent on-site facilities Who We're Looking For: * Experience in a hands-on manufacturing, production, or assembly role is desirable * Alternatively, practical skills from carpentry, plumbing, or DIY backgrounds * Confidence using tools and reading from instructions or drawings * Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team Apply Now: Immediate starts are available now and throughout summer 2025.
