Pertemps West Midlands and Shropshire driving division are recruiting for an HGV Lorry Loading / HIAB Relief Driver on a temp to perm basis for one of our prestigious clients based in Walsall.

The roles will entail and not limited to:

  • Deliver products and services to customers on time, in full (OTIF), effectively reporting any issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to planned routes / movement orders.
  • Optimise loading and unloading times to ensure all work is completed.
  • Ensure any requirements for moving abnormal loads are always met.
  • Operate a lorry loader crane in varying environments and conditions.
  • Work within Tanker team executing customer service calls.
  • Complete the relevant safety checks on the vehicle and equipment you’ve been allocated, reporting any issues immediately, ensuring fleet and safety compliance.
  • Adhere to EU driving hours and Working Times Regulations (WTD) at all times, targeting zero infringements.

To be considered for this HGV Lorry Loading / HIAB Relief Driver role you will need:

  • Valid Class C+E HGV Driving Licence, with DCPC and Tacho.
  • Previous experience in operating a lorry loader crane from 31 tonne and above/up to 82 tonnes. Hook experience is essential.
  • Previous experience operating a wagon and drag combination/artic.
  • CPCS and/or ALLMI lorry loader operator qualification / D1+E Unlimited or equivalent is essential.
  • Be a passionate advocate of absolute safety.
  • Be driven to provide exceptional customer service, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, as appointments may require you to be away from home throughout the working week, driving all types of vehicles at any of our locations. These appointments may change with limited notice, in line with business or operational needs.

In return, the HGV Lorry Loading/HIAB Relief Driver will receive:

  • Pay rate - £17.04ph
  • Overtime – £25.56ph After 40 hours
  • Hotels and meals provided for overnight stays
  • Fuel costs covered to and from designated sites
  • Temp to perm
  • Accrued holiday pay.
  • Access to pension (PAYE).
  • Local agency office/consultants
  • Weekly pay/monthly pay to suit
  • Onsite car parking.
