My client is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support cutting-edge research and product development in dynamic mechanical and thermal fluid systems for aerospace platforms, including aircraft refuelling and other complex aerospace systems. This technically hands-on role involves requirements management, system architecture, and integration and test. You will work within a global, cross-functional team, providing leadership across the full product lifecycle and acting as the engineering administrator for DOORS NG, leading the migration from CRADLE and driving adoption across programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop system and subsystem specifications, traceable requirements, and verification matrices
  • Lead the transition from CRADLE to DOORS NG, including pilot programs, migration plans, training, and tool administration
  • Collaborate with product teams to integrate SE practices and deliver high-quality Systems Engineering work products
  • Support proposal activity, risk identification, and Systems Engineering effort estimation
  • Contribute to process development, metrics, and standard work for systems engineering across the organisation
  • Serve as SME for Systems Engineering within the division, mentoring others and supporting global Systems Engineering capability growth

Requirements:

  • Engineering qualifications and aerospace systems engineering experience
  • Proficiency with DOORS, CRADLE, CAMEO, and familiarity with MBSE
  • Strong grasp of system lifecycle processes (V-Model), DFM, DFMEA, RCCA
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • INCOSE membership and DFSS Green Belt preferred
