Salary: £28,000-£35,000

Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week 8.30am-5pm

Contract Type: Permanent

Purpose of the Role

The Housing Officer supports and manages Service Users (SUs) within an allocated area, ensuring their well-being and the effective management of properties. This includes welfare visits, property inspections, and accurate record-keeping in line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Service Users (SUs):
  • Manage a caseload of (Apply online only) SUs.
  • Conduct dispersals, inductions, and welfare checks.
  • Signpost SUs to local services (e.g., healthcare, shops).
  • Arrange and support transport or relocation as needed.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and timely move-on of SUs.
  • Managing Properties:
    • Conduct monthly inspections and arrange necessary maintenance.
    • Prepare properties for re-occupation or hand back to landlords.
    • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
    • Ensure minor repairs are completed and inventory is managed.

    Required Skills:

    • Experience as a Housing Officer or similar role.
    • Aware of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
    • Empathetic, adaptable, and resilient.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Well-organised with effective planning abilities.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Full UK driving licence required.
