HGV HIAB Driver - Southampton

Job Title: HGV HIAB Driver Location: Southampton Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm Pay Rate: £35,433.84 Our client, a leading provider of modular accommodation solutions, is seeking an experienced HGV HIAB Driver to join their team in Southampton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy goods vehicles with HIAB crane capabilities, ensuring safe and efficient delivery and collection of modular buildings and containers. Responsibilities: Safely Drive and Operate HGV HIAB Vehicles: Ensure the safe operation of HGV HIAB vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations. Deliver & Collect Modular Buildings and Containers: Conduct deliveries and collections from customer sites, utilizing the HIAB crane for loading and unloading. Operate HIAB Crane: Effectively operate the HIAB crane for loading and unloading operations. Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant road safety regulations and company policies. Paperwork Management: Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients. Vehicle Maintenance: Report any vehicle defects promptly. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations. Professional Representation: Always represent the company in a professional manner. Requirements: HGV License: Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 or 2 Driver Licence. HIAB Qualifications: Qualified lorry loader operator (CSCS/ALLMI) is essential. ALLMI Lorry loader D1+E unlimited is preferred, with training upgrades considered for the right candidate. Slinger and Signaller Experience: Previous experience as a slinger and signaller is beneficial. Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding and knowledge of current regulations regarding EU driver hours, Working Time Directive, and Driver's Tachograph restrictions.
