Are you an experienced Quality Inspector looking for your next contract role? A leading manufacturing business is seeking a skilled professional to join their team on a 6-month contract, working inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Goods receiving inspection of mechanical components using standard inspection equipment.
- Gauge calibration administration with external test houses and in-house pressure gauge calibration.
- Special inspection services for specific customer requirements.
- Paperwork generation to route components within the company.
- Liaising with Purchasing & Suppliers to resolve component issues.
- Problem-solving & technical support for the shop floor.
- Providing QA function back-up during absences.
Candidate Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in goods-in/mechanical inspection.
- Strong familiarity with CMM inspection.
- Good secondary school education, ideally to A-Level standard.
- Preferably a completed mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of mechanical components & machining processes.
- Proficient in using manual inspection equipment.
- Strong computer literacy, including Word & Excel for QA IT systems.
