My client, a reputable sub-contractor specialising in reinforced concrete (RC) and large-scale infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support delivery on a Converter Station project in Selby.

SCOPE OF WORKS:

  • RC Basements
  • 27m high slipform Walls
  • Ground Slabs
  • Drainage & Associated Civils

THE ROLE:

  • Setting Out for RC works – including basements, slabs, and vertical slipform structures
  • High-Level QA: Maintaining and compiling QA documentation to stringent standards
  • Working to tight tolerances – critical for the integrity of structural elements
  • Coordination with site teams and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Supporting the management of temporary works and concrete pour sequences

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on RC frame or heavy civils projects
  • Strong QA and document control skills
  • Competent in using Total Stations, AutoCAD, and digital QA systems
  • Experience with slipform construction
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Professional Attitude and Strong Communication (Written & Verbal)
