We’re looking for an energetic, confident, and friendly Fitness Instructor to join our team. You’ll play a vital role in motivating and engaging our members, ensuring they enjoy a positive, professional, and results-driven fitness experience.
Day to day, you will welcome and assist members, carry out inductions and assessments, and create personalised fitness programmes. You’ll also lead group fitness classes, help maintain a clean and safe environment and contribute to the development of customer retention initiatives like monthly challenges.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, worked across 5 days over 7 on a 3-week rolling rota. Shifts are scheduled flexibly between 06:00 and 22:30.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out cleaning duties, both general and specific to fitness equipment
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe gym environment
- Ensure equipment is in safe working order and used appropriately by members
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build positive relationships with members
- Conduct member inductions, fitness assessments, and create tailored fitness programmes
- Ensure external areas and access routes remain clean and tidy at all times
- Support and develop customer retention schemes and fitness challenges
- Act as a positive role model by upholding company values and professional standards
- Complete all tasks in line with agreed schedules, procedures, and service levels
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and appearance, including correct uniform
About You:
- Minimum Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification
- Group exercise qualification (ETM or equivalent)
- Passion for fitness and the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Professional, friendly, and approachable manner
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- High personal standards of presentation and hygiene
- Knowledge of fitness tracking or gym management systems
