We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in operating various machinery within a manufacturing environment. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while adhering to safety standards and operational protocols.

Duties

  • Operate and monitor machinery, including mills and tooling equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assemble components and perform welding tasks as required for product fabrication.
  • Utilise hand tools effectively to complete assembly and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify any issues or maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline production processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output and equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot basic issues with logic controllers and other automated systems.
  • Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for production tasks.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Ideally someone who has done MDF foiling before.
  • Needs to have used machinery in a factory before.
  • Understands one-piece flow, lean manufacturing principles.
  • Can manage workload and stock.
  • Happy to help out in the team where needed to get the jobs done.

The machine is a foil press for MDF, this is used to make the doors and drawer fronts for our units. They will also spray glue them first before pressing, cutting, and trimming and handing on to the next stage of the process.
