Responsibilities:
In this role you’ll ensure the safe and timely completion of projects, support the Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM), and enhance design and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implement Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality controls.
- Manage day-to-day construction engineering activities.
- Collaborate with the CEM, Project Manager, and CREs for alignment.
- Provide construction technical support to the CEM and Project Manager.
- Review and respond to Technical Queries and participate in reviews.
- Work closely with the Project Commercial team for accurate cost estimates.
- Liaise with the Project Planner and construction affiliates for project plans.
- Review designs.
- Control work packages and ensure cost and milestone adherence.
- Provide progress updates and reports to the Planning Engineer.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance.
- Report safety, environmental, and compliance incidents.
About You:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Design and installation experience in Civils Installations.
- Ability to manage and direct site staff.
- Knowledge of AC/DC line standards and railway infrastructure work.
- Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Background in Contracting, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Problem-Solving, Attention to Detail, and Communication skills.
- IEng / CEng or working towards professional registration with the relevant engineering body.
- Time Management, Adaptability, and Resilience under pressure.
- Ethical Conduct and Continuous Learning mindset.
You’ll Bring:
Previous approval as a Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) from Network Rail.
Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering or relevant work experience.
Experience and demonstrable competence of undertaking a TWC role.
Track Competence.
Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
