About the Role: My Client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Technician to support our dynamic Electrical Engineering program. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an academic environment that values innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support faculty and students with lab-based instruction, experiments, and projects.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic lab equipment and systems.
  • Assist in the setup and preparation of laboratory sessions and practical demonstrations.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of lab supplies and components.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining lab safety standards and protocols.
  • Provide technical support during student capstone and research projects.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to develop and implement new teaching tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a technical or laboratory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and circuit analysis.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and microcontroller platforms (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • A proactive and student-focused attitude.
