We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV 1 - Trampers to join our clients based in Bradford. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods between Docks and customers across various locations. 4 nights out per week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage long-distance deliveries effectively.
Average 55hrs per week
Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV 1 vehicles, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals at all destinations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Ensure that cargo is secured properly before transport to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV 1 driving licence (held minimum 12 months due to insurance).
- Valid DCPC card.
- Valid Digi Tacho.
- Minimum 12 months HGV 1 experience (due to insurance).
- Due to insurance, no more than 6 points, NO DD, DG, MS, TT or IN, other endorsements will be considered.
