Job Title: HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist (Multiple Disciplines) Location: NHS Trust, United Kingdom Salary: Competitive, based on experience Contract Type: Permanent/Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking multiple HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with experience in any of the following disciplines: Histology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Haematology. The successful biomedical scientists will join our dedicated team within the NHS and play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic services and contributing to the effective delivery of patient care. These Roles are across Kent, Surrey, Hampshire, Essex, Berkshire and Oxfordshire Key Responsibilities: * Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures specific to your discipline (Histology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Haematology) to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. * Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instruments. * Ensure all laboratory work is conducted in compliance with established protocols and standards. * Analyze and interpret test results, providing accurate and timely reports to medical staff. * Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to maintain high standards of laboratory practice. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide expert advice and support on laboratory findings. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in biomedical science and implement new techniques and technologies as appropriate. * Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment. * Contribute to the training and development of junior biomedical scientists and students. Qualifications and Experience: * HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist is essential. * A degree in Biomedical Science or a related field. * Significant experience working within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting in the UK. * Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures specific to one or more of the following disciplines: Histology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Haematology. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. * Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry advancements. Desirable Skills: * Experience in specialized areas within your discipline. * Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS). * Previous involvement in research projects or clinical trials.
