An established AV integration company is looking for an experienced Freelance AV Install Engineer to support ongoing projects across a range of corporate environments. This role offers consistent work on a day-rate basis, working with a team that delivers high-end, reliable AV solutions to major businesses, meeting rooms, boardrooms, and collaborative workspaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and commissioning of AV equipment, including displays, video walls, audio systems, conferencing solutions (Zoom, Teams), and control systems
- First and second fix cabling and hardware installation
- Rack building, cable management, and terminations
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the functionality of all installed systems
- Liaising professionally with clients on-site to ensure smooth delivery
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an AV Installation Engineer within corporate environments
- Strong technical knowledge of AV equipment and platforms (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Logitech, Microsoft Teams Rooms)
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality installations
- Full set of tools and PPE
- ECS/CSCS certification (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence and own transport (desirable but not essential depending on site)
- Availability for immediate or short-notice start
