We are working closely with a well-respected Asbestos Removal company in the South East of England. Due to continued growth and success, they are now seeking to take on an experienced and qualified Asbestos Removal Supervisor. This role would suit someone with an extensive background in the asbestos industry with experience overseeing and managing teams of operatives alongside training new employees across various licenced and non-licenced projects. The successful candidate will be covering across Social Housing, Educational, and Government sites.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Gravesend, Bexleyheath, Sidcup, Orpington, Bromley, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Caterham, Croydon, Mitcham, Sutton, Epsom, Haslemere, Horsham, Redhill, Crawley.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Holding an up-to-date asbestos supervisor ticket is essential to the role.
- Experience working hands on as an Asbestos Supervisor for an established Asbestos Removals company.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant Health and Safety guidelines, ensuring to take personal responsibility to keep knowledge up to date.
- Excellent communication skills via phone, email & face to face with clients and colleagues of all levels.
- Able to organise own workload in line with company and client needs.
The Role:
- Overseeing and managing licenced and non-licenced removal projects across Social Housing, Educational, and Government sites.
- Efficiently managing a team of operatives.
- Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with site specific RAMS and making amendments where necessary.
- Submitting ASB5s and HSE notices in a timely manner.
- Conducting inductions with new starts.
- Highlighting areas for training and improvement with new and existing employees.
- Liaising with clients, providing excellent technical support and advice to clients, dealing with any queries in a timely manner.
- Working to strict deadlines.
- Communicating efficiently with internal managers.
- Ensuring work is being carried out in line with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
