At Gregory Distribution, we have a vacancy for an Agriculture, Compliance and Sampler Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity, which specialises within the recycling/waste industry.

The position of Agriculture, Compliance and Sampler Assistant involves:

  • Use Microsoft software and other mapping tools to create detailed and accurate maps of farm layouts.
  • Update maps regularly to reflect any changes in farm structures or land use.
  • Conduct soil sampling at specified sites in accordance with area requirements.
  • Document audit findings and follow up on any required corrective actions.
  • Complete store inspections and report on the quality, completing all necessary paperwork.
  • Complete field inspections and risk assessments, completing all required paperwork.
  • Complete contractor audits.
  • Complete post app checks.
  • Provide cover for HACCP testing as required.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Business Management policies and procedures.
  • A desire to learn and progress within the position as experience increases.

Essential skills required for Agriculture, Compliance and Sampler Assistant:

  • A background in an agricultural or scientific environment.
  • Must have a valid UK Driving License.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, including to key stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail is critical and working to deadlines daily.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Desirable skills required for Agriculture, Compliance and Sampler Assistant:

  • Knowledge of Quality and Environmental Systems.
  • Knowledge of waste regulations, Bio Solids Assurance Scheme, Safe Sludge Matrix and Environment Agency and Water authority regulations.
  • Sampling experience.
  • Experience of land spreading techniques and equipment.

Salary for Agriculture, Compliance and Sampler Assistant is £26,000pa based on 37.5 hours per week, to include use of a company vehicle. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:30hrs to 17:00hrs.
