Based in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, this is a permanent, full-time position, 37 hours per week. Salary: £35,909 - £39,899 per annum.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to bring their expertise to our team. In this role, you’ll lead the Accounts Payable team, oversee smooth and timely payment runs, and manage key relationships across the business. You’ll own and enhance the accounts payable module, streamline processes, and ensure compliance through clear policies and controls. From resolving ledger issues to preparing reports and supporting audits, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an efficient month-end close.
We’re looking for someone with:
- CCAB part qualified or qualified by experience.
- Experience of supervising or managing people.
- Experience in designing and preparing reports for a business e.g. KPIs and accounts payable.
- Working knowledge of the purchase ledger processes and account reconciliations.
- A good understanding of VAT rules and regulations.
- The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in purchase order software and MS Office (intermediate Excel skills).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will also be required to have a basic criminal record (DBS) check, which we will pay for.
