Our client is a leading Technology company looking for 1st & 2nd Support Engineer. Some travel will be required, candidate must hold a valid UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities:

  • 1st line and some 2nd line support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues such as password resets, software installations, and basic hardware malfunctions.
  • Escalate more complex issues to more senior members of the IT team as required.
  • Setup and configure new hardware and software for users.
  • Perform regular IT operations and maintenance tasks to ensure system stability and security.
  • Actively develop technical skills under senior staff’s mentorship.
  • Assist in ensuring all departmental documentation is kept up to date.
  • Assist in IT equipment inventory management and reporting.

Skills Required:

  • Windows 10 / 11 administration
  • Knowledge of M365 / Teams
  • Physical hardware management including laptop provisioning
  • Basic networking and patching
  • An understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • The ability to communicate with staff members at all levels of the business

Other useful, but not essential, experience:

  • VMWare vSphere
  • Microsoft Exchange (on-prem)
  • Cisco networking
  • Knowledge of backup technologies
  • Associated certifications will be of great interest e.g. (VCP, MCSE, CCNA etc.)
  • RHEL or other Linux
