Position: Vehicle Line Manager

Location: Hybrid Working – 2 days on site in Solihull

Position Type: Permanent

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a British motorcycle company who are looking for a Vehicle Line Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Lead project planning sessions to set project goals and objectives, determine timelines, define tasks, and outline resources necessary to successfully complete the project.
  2. Monitor the progress of projects, including addressing issues that may arise and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time and to the correct specification.
  3. Manage a portfolio and resources to ensure client engagement through project plans, schedules, project tracking, budget and resource allocation, Gantt charts, and workload analysis.
  4. Report regularly to management and relevant stakeholders on the project’s progress, challenges, resolution and evaluation of the whole project.
  5. Conduct project reviews, including creating detailed reports for executive staff and identifying areas for future improvement.
  6. Collate data for drawing releases from appropriate systems.
  7. Chase drawing releases from the Engineering department.
  8. Collate lists of parts for inspection alongside Engineering/Quality.
  9. Analyse data and produce chase lists/progress reports.
  10. Budget creation alongside Team (Sub and Product Coordinator).
  11. Monitor ISIR/PPAP status prior to production.

Personal Specification:

  1. Strategic and financial planning.
  2. 4+ years’ experience within a similar product/project role.
  3. Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization with strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  5. Fully competent on various packages: Microsoft, SAP Systems and other Project software.
  6. Advanced knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies and commitment to improving internal practices.
  7. Ability to travel overseas to support programme delivery.
