Stage 3 Crane Operator Electrician 📍 Location: Europe 💰 Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience 🕒 Job Type: Permanent 📅 Start Date: ASAP About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Stage 3 Crane Operator Electrician to join our team. This role involves operating offshore cranes safely and efficiently while carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on crane systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, experience in offshore environments, and the ability to work under pressure in challenging conditions. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Safe operation of offshore pedestal and lattice boom cranes in line with industry regulations. ✅ Conducting electrical fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on crane control systems, motors, and power units. ✅ Performing routine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic systems. ✅ Ensuring compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and offshore lifting standards. ✅ Diagnosing and rectifying faults in PLC, VFDs, and other crane automation systems. ✅ Collaborating with the offshore maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime and safe lifting operations. ✅ Carrying out preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical crane components. ✅ Completing all required documentation, including maintenance reports and safety records. ✅ Assisting in rigging and lifting operations as required. ✅ Adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental policies. Requirements: 🔹 Stage 3 Offshore Crane Operator Certificate (OPITO or equivalent). 🔹 Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent). 🔹 Experience working with offshore cranes such as Liebherr, NOV, or MacGregor. 🔹 Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, PLCs, and VFDs. 🔹 Offshore survival and medical certificates (BOSIET, MIST, CA-EBS). 🔹 LOLER & PUWER knowledge. 🔹 Hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting skills are desirable. 🔹 Ability to work in offshore environments on a rotational schedule.
