Solar PV Electrician Location: Cardiff Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 p.a + Van + Fuel Card Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (some flexibility required) Job Type: Permanent About the Role We are looking for a skilled solar PV electrician to join a growing renewable energy team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar PV systems in both domestic and small-scale commercial settings. Key Responsibilities * Install and maintain solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, EV chargers, and iBoosts * Perform electrical installations and modifications in compliance with industry standards * Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis for new and existing systems * Carry out remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairs * Conduct site surveys and advise customers on system design and functionality * Design and install cable routes and panel stringing for commercial projects * Gain experience with flat roof and in-roof solar mounting systems * Lead and manage solar projects, including occasional travel outside Cardiff What We’re Looking For * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently * A team player who supports colleagues as the company grows * Previous experience with solar PV systems * Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge * Full UK driving licence (required for travel between job sites) Qualifications & Certifications * JIB Gold Card * 2391 Inspection & Testing * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation * BPEC Solar PV qualification (preferred) * Battery storage experience (desirable) Why Apply? * Be part of a fast-growing renewable energy company * Great career development opportunities * Company van + fuel card provided If you're an experienced solar PV electrician looking to advance your career in the renewable energy sector, apply today
