Senior Optical Engineer

Senior Optical Engineer A leading optoelectronics products manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Optical Engineer. Role:- 1. Design and development of optoelectronic devices and systems: design, execution and analysis of development work 2. Define and lead the direction of work packages 3. Documentation of design and control of design records 4. Liaising with customers and supply chain 5. Production of engineering paperwork to build up design records within the company’s quality system. 6. Responsible to ensure documentation is correct and kept up to date 7. Ensure Health and Safety standards and procedures are followed at all times 8. Ensure adherence to Company Policies and Procedures Experience and skills required:- • Degree in technical subject (Masters or PhD preferred) • 3-5 years in relevant development role • Experience working with optomechanical components/systems • Experience managing and solving complex R&D problems • Enthusiastic problem solver using evidence-based approaches to find suitable technical solutions • Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously as the job requires
