Due to growth, we have the opportunity to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator for our client in Hull. The client is an interior fit out contractor who specialise in commercial office refurbishment projects across the UK. They have an excellent reputation and history of producing quality, fast track fit out projects across the sector. Over the last 25 years they have completed a large number of commercial office design, office fit out and refurbishment projects for a range of leading clients.

The role of Quantity Surveyor / Estimator is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is tendered, procured and delivered within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers' expectations. You will be responsible for the delivery of the projects to meet financial targets. You will have good communication skills with the ability to nurture relationships with both the supply chain and customers.

Duties include:

  • Communicating with current and prospective customers, scoping requirements, taking client briefs using previous experience to provide a consultative approach
  • Preparing detailed tender documents inline with client requirements
  • Working closely with & understanding all aspects of design, production and operational process
  • Negotiating Pricing for required Materials & labour
  • BQQ/ Creation of SOR
  • Providing Value engineered solutions
  • Developing strong internal & external relationships with key stakeholders
  • Attending weekly management meetings

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Experience working for an interior fit out contractor in a quantity surveying and estimating capacity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent IT skills
