Mainly London and Southeast UK (Travel across the south of England each week). The Quality Assurance Manager role is responsible for working as part of the Quality Assurance team to measure the quality of Assured Providers' training and assessment provisions against Rail Training Assurance Scheme (RTAS) requirements and related standards. You should already be an experienced Rail QA Manager or Training Manager with a successful record and have lots of energy and enthusiasm for the role with a track record in delighting clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning and undertaking External Quality Assurance on-site visits to measure Assured Providers application of RTAS Rules, standards and client’s requirements to plan.
- Undertaking practical training site approval [TIC, MC/CC & OLEC] & new provider Advisory Visits.
- Undertake customer account manager activities for Assured Providers that sit within the geographical area aligned to you including support to Financial Controller and processing QA Helpdesk queries.
- Support Assured Providers continuous improvement in their application of, and understanding of, relevant rules and standards.
- Participation in Provider Forums and Workshops delivery.
- Preparation and submission of visit, Provider and performance reports using Microsoft Office suite.
- Contribute to the overall QA Service provided by the organisation.
- Compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Developing, updating and implementing internal procedures in collaboration with colleagues.
- Use of relevant quality tools and databases.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of industry best practices.
- Continuously develop own technical knowledge.
- Undertake ad hoc reports and administrative duties for the wider team as required.
Essential Attributes:
- Current Internal/External Auditing Qualifications.
- At least five years’ experience within the Rail Industry in a Training Management and/or Auditor/QA role.
- Experience in dealing with Internal/External assurance bodies such as ISO/BSI/Achilles/RISQS.
- Familiarity with Training and Assessment competence standards.
- Full UK Driving licence.
