About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a major COMAH infrastructure business working on critical UK energy projects, including CCS, Hydrogen, and alternative energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery – Manage projects from initiation to completion.
  • Cost Control – Oversee budgets, contracts, and spending approvals.
  • Project Execution – Develop Project Execution Plans (PEPs) aligned with company procedures.
  • Contract Management – Define completion criteria, create closure plans, and handle contractual documents.
  • Risk & Quality Management – Identify and mitigate risks, manage non-conformances, and drive quality improvements.
  • Scheduling & Reporting – Track progress, costs, cash flow, and generate internal & external reports.
  • Stakeholder Coordination – Attend client meetings, lead internal/external project meetings, and manage contract scope changes.
  • Project Closure – Assess costs, document lessons learned, and finalize project closure activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • HND or Degree in Engineering
  • Project Management qualification (PMI, APM, or similar)
  • Strong background in Construction, Mining, Nuclear, Rail, Refinery, or Chemical industries
