Our client, a leading multinational Building Services Consultancy, with 5 offices in the UK and over 120 staff, works on a wide variety of projects across sectors including leisure, stadia, commercial offices, and healthcare facilities. They are currently looking for a Principal Public Health Engineer to join their central London team. This role offers you the chance to work on a diverse array of projects across the city while leading the office’s Public Health Engineering division. Key Responsibilities: Lead public health engineering team, stepping into a project leadership role as needed. Engage directly with clients, providing innovative design solutions while managing their expectations, strengthening relationships with existing clients and forging new connections with contractors, architects, and developers. Prepare technical and financial proposals for new projects, contributing to business growth. Oversee the workload of engineers and technicians, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Develop and review technical specifications, ensuring they meet the project’s requirements. Monitor the financial performance of projects, setting up and managing administrative systems, including planning and resource allocation. Key Requirements: Extensive experience in public health engineering within an MEP or multidisciplinary consultancy, with proven experience as a project leader. A broad background across various sectors, ideally with experience in large-scale projects. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and team members. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering. Professional registration with a relevant institution, such as CIBSE or IMechE.
