Principle Mechanical Engineer – Refurbishment and Fit-Outs – London – Permanent £63,000 Per Annum + Travel Allowance ARM are working with an award winning engineering consultancy firm and they are looking for a Principle Mechanical Engineer based in London. About You: Extensive technical expertise in Mechanical Design Engineering with a comprehensive understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design throughout all design stages. Proficient in applying standards and codes relevant to building services. Capable of conducting MEP building services surveys independently. Skilled in detailed peer reviews with a solid background in regulatory and standards documentation. Experienced in managing parallel projects of various types and sizes through different RIBA stages. Competent in performing essential calculations, including maximum demands and typical W/m², and applying mechanical theory. Some experience with projects in existing buildings. What you will be doing: Provide technical advice on mechanical/electrical services in existing buildings. Prepare proposals and deliver refurbishment and upgrade projects from start to finish. Conduct condition surveys and produce reports with recommendations. Develop mechanical designs and specifications, ensuring quality standards. Produce feasibility studies for infrastructure replacement or upgrades. Review development and fit-out proposals, advising clients on implications. What you can expect in return: The salary range for this position is £63,000 plus a travelling allowance of £4560. On top of this is a range of benefits that include pension, private healthcare, life assurance and more. As well as a real chance of progression within the organisation.
