Painting & Decorating Supervisor

An experienced Painting & Decorating Supervisor is required for a residential apartment project in Guildford. This is a site-based, contract role offering an immediate start for the right candidate. The successful individual will oversee all painting and decorating activities, ensuring high standards of workmanship, compliance with health and safety protocols, and adherence to project deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily painting and decorating operations on-site. Manage a team of decorators, allocating tasks and monitoring progress. Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and project specifications. Liaise with site management and subcontractors to coordinate schedules and resource requirements. Maintain a safe working environment, carrying out regular site checks and ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards. Report on project progress, potential issues, and materials requirements. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings as needed. Requirements: Valid CSCS Card (essential). SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) qualification (essential). NVQ Level 2 or above in Painting & Decorating (essential). Previous experience supervising painting and decorating teams on residential or commercial projects. Strong organisational and leadership skills.
