Our client is a global leader in medical and security assistance, travel risk management, and claims solutions, providing critical medical support across the global insurance market. They are now seeking an experienced nurse who is looking for a change and to join their dynamic and supportive team.

Role Overview: This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to apply their clinical expertise in a global setting. As a Nurse Coordinator, you will provide vital support to travellers facing unexpected medical emergencies worldwide. You will thrive in an environment that offers diverse and challenging cases, ranging from life-threatening incidents to less serious situations. No two days are ever the same for a nurse in this dynamic role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to calls, consulting with clients and colleagues in line with triage priorities.
  • Manage medical emergencies with customers via email and on the telephone.
  • Liaise with patients, hospitals, and medical staff across the globe to ensure appropriate and timely treatment from a nurse's perspective.
  • Complete accurate and focused reviews and reports, ensuring the highest level of clinical care is being provided.
  • Keep other departments informed with insurance cover decisions or reasons for no cover, including consent and disclaimers/GP checks.
  • Assess when and how patients are fit to return home, leveraging your clinical judgment as a nurse.
  • Handle all calls with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism, providing support as a nurse in stressful situations.
  • Provide safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care, drawing on your clinical skills as a nurse.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of post-registration experience as a nurse.
  • NMC Registered Nurse.
  • Recent experience in an A&E / ICU / acute medicine setting would be preferred but not essential.
  • Tenacious, enthusiastic, and motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities as a nurse.
  • Confidence to make clinically sound decisions regarding patient care as an experienced nurse.
