Role Overview: As part of the Supply Chain team, you will ensure that raw materials, ingredients, and packaging are available on time for production. You will work with suppliers, production planners, and various internal teams to keep inventory levels right, reduce waste, and avoid production delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create material schedules to meet production needs while reducing waste and preventing excess inventory.
- Place purchase orders to make sure materials are delivered on time.
- Regularly check material needs based on short- and long-term customer forecasts.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and solve any issues.
- Ensure deliveries arrive on time and in full, taking action to prevent shortages, and working with suppliers for continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory to agreed levels.
- Communicate material needs and updates with internal teams.
- Work with commercial, technical, and supply chain teams to meet customer requirements.
- Track and report on material usage, waste, and supplier performance.
Key Metrics:
- Keep stock levels within budget, tracked through weekly/monthly inventory values.
- Ensure materials are available to avoid production downtime or customer shortages, measured by production downtime and customer delivery performance.
- Responsible for food safety, product quality, and Health and Safety.
